Le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre circuit du Keiheuvel \u00e9tait le th\u00e9\u00e2tre ce lundi 15 ao\u00fbt de la deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9preuve comptant pour le championnat de Belgique Inter Open de motocross. Dans le sable limbourgeois, Shaun Simpson s’est montr\u00e9 intraitable. Le Britannique s’est impos\u00e9 dans les 3 manches. Il est accompagn\u00e9 sur le podium du jour par Kevin Strijbos et Romain F\u00e8bvre.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sous un soleil estival, Balen faisait son retour cette ann\u00e9e dans le championnat de Belgique inter de motocross. Apr\u00e8s l’\u00e9preuve de Moerbeke disput\u00e9e en mars dernier, il s’agissait du 2\u00e8me des 4 rounds que compte le championnat cette ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Battu l’an pass\u00e9 par Kevin Strijbos, Shaun Simpson arrivait \u00e0 Balen ce lundi avec la ferme intention de prendre sa revanche sur notre compatriote. Le Britannique aime le sable limbourgeois et il n’y a clairement eu que Kevin Strijbos pour tenir la comparaison avec lui ce lundi. Bien parti dans chacune des manches, Simpson s’est battu avec l’officiel Suzuki dans la premi\u00e8re manche pour prendre un avantage qui allait \u00eatre d\u00e9cisif \u00e0 3 tours de l’arriv\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Kevin Strijbos n’a rien pu faire aujourd’hui face \u00e0 Shaun Simpson.<\/p><\/div>\n

Dans la deuxi\u00e8me, c’est Damon Graulus qui partait en t\u00eate. Le pilote 24MX Honda laissait rapidement Simpson s’installer en t\u00eate mais parvenait n\u00e9anmoins \u00e0 contenir les retour de Kevin Strijbos et de Romain F\u00e8bvre, partis dans le peloton et revenus jusqu’en 3\u00e8me et 4\u00e8me positions.<\/p>\n

Simpson persiste et signe dans la 3\u00e8me et ultime manche de la journ\u00e9e en menant la course de bout en bout. Strijbos se bat pour garder la KTM en ligne de mire mais ne peut rien faire pour emp\u00eacher Simpson de franchir pour la troisi\u00e8me fois de la journ\u00e9e la ligne d’arriv\u00e9e en vainqueur.<\/p>\n

Retour discret pour Ken De Dycker<\/h5>\n

C’est donc haut la main que Simpson remporte le prestigieux Troph\u00e9e Sylvain Geboers devant Kevin Strijbos et le r\u00e9gulier Romain F\u00e8bvre. R\u00e9gulier lui aussi mais un cran en-dessous, Arminas Jasikonis termine au pied du podium juste devant les Belges Brent Van Doninck, Dewulf et Ramon.\u00a0 Sans un abandon en premi\u00e8re manche apr\u00e8s s’\u00eatre \u00e9lanc\u00e9 en toute derni\u00e8re position, Graulus, 8\u00e8me du g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, aurait sans doute pu se battre pour la 3\u00e8me marche du podium.<\/p>\n

Romain Febvre joue la carte de la r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 pour monter sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium.<\/p><\/div>\n

Retour en demi-teinte pour Ken De Dycker. Le pilote 24MX Honda, qui effectuait sa premi\u00e8re course depuis sa blessure en f\u00e9vrier dernier, est rest\u00e9 discret aujourd’hui \u00e0 Balen. Il termine 18\u00e8me du classement final.<\/p>\n

En MX2, c’est Kevin Wouts qui s’offre le Troph\u00e9e Jo\u00ebl Roelants devant le jeune N\u00e9o-Z\u00e9landais Josiah Natzke et le Hollandais Mark Boot.<\/p>\n

La 3\u00e8me manche du championnat de Belgique se disputera d\u00e8s le week-end prochain, le dimanche 21 ao\u00fbt, sur le circuit naturel d’Orp-le-Grand, en Brabant wallon.<\/p>\n
