Le circuit sablonneux de Kegums, en Lettonie, accueillait ce week-end la 7\u00e8me \u00e9preuve du championnat du monde MXGP. Un terrain de jeu qui a plu \u00e0 Jeffrey Herlings. Vainqueur des deux manches, le Hollandais remporte son premier succ\u00e8s dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine du motocross mondial. Antonio Cairoli et Evgney Bobryshev compl\u00e8tent un podium au pied duquel termine Cl\u00e9ment Desalle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jeffrey Herlings qui confirme son retour en forme deux semaines apr\u00e8s \u00eatre mont\u00e9 sur son premier podium de la saison \u00e0 Valkenswaard en remportant relativement facilement les deux manches du GP de Kegums, c’est une premi\u00e8re info qui annonce une deuxi\u00e8me partie de saison dans laquelle il faudra sans doute d\u00e9sormais compter avec le Hollandais parmi les candidats \u00e0 la victoire.<\/p>\n

Mais l’autre information du week-end, c’est le changement de leader au classement provisoire du championnat. D\u00e9j\u00e0 en difficult\u00e9 dans le sable de Valkenswaard, Tim Gajser a connu \u00e0 Kegums ce dimanche une journ\u00e9e noire. Victime d’un accrochage avec Butron en d\u00e9but de premi\u00e8re manche, le pilote Honda HRC repartait le couteau entre les dents pour accrocher une 14\u00e8me place. Dans la seconde, il chutait lourdement peu apr\u00e8s la mi-course alors qu’il venait quelques minutes plus t\u00f4t de passer Arminas Jasikonis, parti en t\u00eate, pour la seconde place. Contraint \u00e0 l’abandon, le Slov\u00e8ne quitte Kegums avec 7 points seulement en poche.<\/p>\n

Cinqui\u00e8me de la premi\u00e8re manche puis deuxi\u00e8me dans la seconde, Cairoli marque pour sa part de gros points et profite des malheurs de Gajser pour lui reprendre la plaque rouge en totalisant d\u00e9sormais 17 points de plus que son adversaire avant d’arriver sur le 8\u00e8me round du championnat \u00e0 Teutschenthal les 20 et 21 mai prochains.<\/p>\n

Cl\u00e9ment Desalle a lui aussi marqu\u00e9 de bons points \u00e0 Kegums. Parti en t\u00eate de la premi\u00e8re manche, le pilote Kawasaki n’a rien pu faire face \u00e0 Herlings mais termine \u00e0 une tr\u00e8s belle deuxi\u00e8me place avant de prendre la 5\u00e8me position dans la deuxi\u00e8me manche et s’offrir ainsi la 4\u00e8me place du GP devant le trio Husqvarna Paulin, Anstie et Nagl.<\/p>\n

Sixi\u00e8me de la premi\u00e8re manche, J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek est parti tr\u00e8s loin dans la seconde et, sur une piste o\u00f9 le d\u00e9part est primordial, il n’est pas parvenu \u00e0 remonter au-del\u00e0 de la 14\u00e8me place.<\/p>\n
