Champion du monde 250 en 1979 avant de coiffer une couronne dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine des 500cc en 1983, le g\u00e9ant su\u00e9dois reste surtout dans les m\u00e9moires pour son arr\u00eat au Chalet du Monument, lieu de rassemblement mythique des supporters sur le GP de la citadelle de Namur, alors qu&rsquo;il est en t\u00eate du GP 500cc en 1988.
