Le championnat 2008 de Supercross US s’est termin\u00e9 comme il avait commenc\u00e9, par une victoire de Chad Reed. L’Australien a en effet mis la touche finale au triomphe qu’il construit semaine apr\u00e8s semaine depuis le d\u00e9but du mois de janvier en remportant à Las Vegas l’\u00e9preuve finale du championnat.
\nUne victoire qui permet au pilote Yamaha de coiffer une seconde couronne US en Supercross.<\/p>\n

Arriv\u00e9 à Vegas avec un avantage de 10 points sur Kevin Windham, son dernier rival pour le titre, Chad Reed pouvait se contenter d’assurer pour d\u00e9tr\u00f4ner James Stewart, le champion en titre, et remporter pour la seconde fois de sa carri\u00e8re le titre le plus convoit\u00e9 de la plan\u00e8te.
\nMais l’Australien ne s’est pas content\u00e9 d’une place d’honneur. Il a en effet tenu à remporter cet ultime combat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Windham a mis toutes les chances de son c\u00f4t\u00e9 en passant rapidement en t\u00eate de la finale. Mais le pilote Honda n’a rien pu faire face à la vitesse impressionnante de Reed dans les whoops. Parti 7\u00e8me, l’officiel Yamaha revient dans la roue de Windham d\u00e8s la mi-course, avant de le d\u00e9border sans difficult\u00e9.
\nWindham termine second de cette ultime finale de l’ann\u00e9e et doit donc se contenter du titre de vice-champion, tandis que Short, Hill et Millsaps compl\u00e8tent le top-5.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Je me suis vraiment battu cette saison!\u00a0\u00bb, analyse Chad Reed à l’arriv\u00e9e. \u00ab\u00a0J’avais une nouvelle moto cette ann\u00e9e et je dois dire que cela m’a facilit\u00e9 le travail… Ce fut une bonne saison pour nous, m\u00eame si on peut sans doute seulement regretter la blessure de James Stewart en d\u00e9but de saison.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

SX Lites: Encore Ryan Dungey!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Deux ann\u00e9es de suite, c’est \u00e9norme!\u00a0\u00bb, lance un Ryan Dungey euphorique sur le podium de Vegas. Le pilote Suzuki vient en effet de r\u00e9aliser l’exploit de remporter pour la seconde ann\u00e9e cons\u00e9cutive la traditionnelle et tr\u00e8s attendue confrontation Est\/Ouest pour les pilotes SX Lites.<\/p>\n

Ryan Villopoto comptait bien faire oublier sa d\u00e9faite face à Trey Canard dans la conqu\u00eate du titre c\u00f4te Est à Saint-Louis mais le pilote Kawasaki n’a rien pu faire face à la ma\u00eetrise de Dungey. \u00ab\u00a0Les doubl\u00e9s ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le important dans la course\u00a0\u00bb, confie le prot\u00e9g\u00e9 de Mitch Payton. \u00ab\u00a0Ryan (Dungey) a bien roul\u00e9. J’ai fait quelques erreurs, et il a su en profiter!\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
