Justin Barcia ne s’\u00e9tait plus impos\u00e9 sur le championnat outdoor US depuis trois ans. C’\u00e9tait \u00e0 Red Bud. Ce samedi \u00e0 Ironman, le pilote Yamaha a renou\u00e9 avec la victoire. Il s’est impos\u00e9 dans les deux manches de la finale du championnat. Ken Roczen et Marvin Musquin l’accompagnent sur le podium. Eli Tomac s’assure quant \u00e0 lui de reconduire son titre outdoor MX450.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Handicap\u00e9 par de mauvais d\u00e9parts \u00e0 Unadilla, Justin Barcia y avait pourtant fait preuve d’une vitesse de pointe impressionnante dans la boue. Une impression qui se confirme ce week-end puisque le pilote Yamaha, qui vient de prolonger son contrat avec la marque aux 3 diapasons pour 2019, s’est carr\u00e9ment impos\u00e9 dans les deux manches ce week-end sur la finale d’Ironman. Une finale dans laquelle la boue est donc venue ajouter son grain de sel. Mais Eli Tomac a assur\u00e9 l’essentiel en prenant la deuxi\u00e8me place en premi\u00e8re manche puis en rentrant \u00e0 une prudente 9\u00e8me place dans la seconde. De quoi conserver 16 points d’avance sur Marvin Musquin (4+3), troisi\u00e8me \u00e0 Ironman derri\u00e8re Ken Roczen (3+2).\u00a0 Le pilote Kawasaki US remporte son deuxi\u00e8me titre de motocross US cons\u00e9cutif.<\/p>\n

Justin Barcia renoue avec la victoire, 3 ans apr\u00e8s !<\/p><\/div>\n

Pourtant incertain de prendre part au championnat au d\u00e9but du printemps, alors qu’il se remettait \u00e0 peine d’une grosse chute sur le championnat SX, Ken Roczen r\u00e9ussit la performance de terminer sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium. In extremis puisque, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son doubl\u00e9, Barcia est revenu en 4\u00e8me position \u00e0 un petit point seulement du pilote allemand.<\/p>\n

Notons aussi \u00e0 Ironman la tr\u00e8s belle performance de Valetin Teillet. Le Fran\u00e7ais \u00e9tait venu r\u00e9aliser son r\u00eave de prendre part \u00e0 une \u00e9preuve du championnat outdoor US et il n’a pas fait les choses \u00e0 moiti\u00e9. L’ancien champion d’Europe int\u00e8gre le top-10 apr\u00e8s une 8\u00e8me et une 10\u00e8me places dans les manches.<\/p>\n

En 250, Aaron Plessinger, d\u00e9j\u00e0 titr\u00e9, \u00e9tait lib\u00e9r\u00e9 de toute pression. Le pilote Yamaha termine la saison en beaut\u00e9 avec un doubl\u00e9 devant RJ Hampshire et Chase Sexton. Alex Martin n’est que 10\u00e8me mais conserve n\u00e9anmoins sa deuxi\u00e8me place au championnat devant Justin Cooper.<\/p>\n

La saison outdoor se referme mais Eli Tomac, Justin Barcia et Aaaron Plessinger ont quant \u00e0 eux d\u00e8s \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent les yeux riv\u00e9s sur le Motocross des Nations de Red Bud, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les 3 hommes porteront leurs couleurs nationales. Et au vu des r\u00e9sultats de cette finale \u00e0 Ironman, l’\u00e9quipe US risque bien de faire mal les 6 et 7 octobre prochains dans le Michigan…<\/p>\n
