Orp-le-Grand accueillait ce week-end le championnat de Belgique de motocross. Le circuit \u00ab\u00a0de la Petite Gette\u00a0\u00bb, du nom du cours d’eau par lequel il est travers\u00e9, \u00e9tait par ailleurs le th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la finale des prestigieux \u00ab\u00a0Masters\u00a0\u00bb de motocross, un championnat ouvert aux meilleurs pilotes belges mais aussi aux pilotes \u00e9trangers, parmi lesquels plusieurs grands noms du championnat du monde MXGP.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Battu cet \u00e9t\u00e9 sur ses terres \u00e0 Balen, o\u00f9 se disputait le premier des deux rounds de ce mini-championnat, Kevin Strijbos esp\u00e9rait sans doute prendre sa revanche ce dimanche \u00e0 Orp face au tr\u00e8s rapide Hollandais Glenn Coldenhoff. Le co\u00e9quipier de Jeffrey Herlings dans le team officiel KTM en championnat du monde, avait en effet domin\u00e9 notre compatriote devant son public et Strijbos, s’il est tr\u00e8s souvent mont\u00e9 sur le podium d’Orp, n’en a jamais gravi la premi\u00e8re marche. En l’absence de Cl\u00e9ment Desalle, vainqueur des deux derni\u00e8res \u00e9ditions, l’occasion \u00e9tait donc belle pour le v\u00e9t\u00e9ran du championnat MXGP d’inscrire enfin \u00e0 son palmar\u00e8s l’\u00e9preuve braban\u00e7onne.<\/p>\n

La journ\u00e9e commence bien pour Strijbos<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

D\u00e8s les essais matinaux, Coldenhoff annon\u00e7ait la couleur en signant le meilleur temps \u00e0 plus d’une seconde de Strijbos et plus de deux secondes de l’Ecossais Shaun Simpson. Strijbos ne se laissait pas impressionner pour autant. Il dominait en effet de bout en bout la premi\u00e8re manche malgr\u00e9 la pression du pilote hollandais pour franchir le drapeau \u00e0 damiers en vainqueur. Coldenhoff \u00e9chouait \u00e0 moins d’une demi-seconde. Derri\u00e8re les deux leaders, Shaun Simpson a pris le meilleurs sur le Finlandais Harri Kullas dans les derniers tours de course. Kevin Fors compl\u00e8te le top-5 juste devant Yentel Martens.<\/p>\n

Kevin Strijbos a remport\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re manche de la journ\u00e9e.<\/p><\/div>\n

La journ\u00e9e d\u00e9butait donc bien pour Strijbos. Parti en 4\u00e8me position, il ne parviendra malheureusement pas \u00e0 suivre le rythme impos\u00e9 par Coldenhoff et Simpson dans la deuxi\u00e8me manche. Coldenhoff m\u00e8ne cette fois de bout en bout devant le pilote Yamaha et les deux leaders rel\u00e8guent le 3\u00e8me pilote class\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 30 secondes. Ce 3\u00e8me pilote, c’est Harri Kullas, face auquel Strijbos n’a pas pu r\u00e9sister et qui s’est empar\u00e9 de la derni\u00e8re marche du podium d\u00e8s le 4\u00e8me tour.<\/p>\n

Au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral 500cc, la victoire est hollandaise puisqu’elle revient \u00e0 Coldenhoff qui prive donc Strijbos d’un premier succ\u00e8s \u00e0 Orp. Le limbourgeois monte n\u00e9anmoins sur la deuxi\u00e8me marche d’un podium compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par Shaun Simpson, lui aussi habitu\u00e9 de l’\u00e9preuve.<\/p>\n

Victoire v\u00e9n\u00e9zu\u00e9lienne en 250cc<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Chez les 250cc, la victoire est l\u00e0 v\u00e9n\u00e9zu\u00e9lienne. La jeune recrue du team belge Yamaha Kemea Anthony Rodriguez a en effet domin\u00e9 les deux manches pour s’imposer \u00e0 deux reprises devant le Braban\u00e7on Erik Willems. Troisi\u00e8me en premi\u00e8re manche, Tim Louis se contente ensuite de la 6\u00e8me place dans la seconde apr\u00e8s \u00eatre remont\u00e9 de la 13\u00e8me position. Un faux pas qui co\u00fbte sans doute la troisi\u00e8me marche du podium \u00e0 Louis, lequel s’\u00e9tait impos\u00e9 l’an dernier \u00e0 Orp. Il doit en effet laisser l’Espagnol Simeo Ubach, tr\u00e8s r\u00e9gulier avec une quatri\u00e8me puis une troisi\u00e8me places dans les manches, accompagner Rodriguez et Willems sur le podium du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n

Shaun Simpson termine la journ\u00e9e sur une victoire<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

La journ\u00e9e s’est termin\u00e9e en apoth\u00e9ose avec la finale des Belgian Masters of Motocross, regroupant pilotes 250 et 500cc. Harri Kullas partait en t\u00eate mais ne pouvait r\u00e9sister longtemps \u00e0 Shan Simpson. L’Ecossait s’envolait rapidement en t\u00eate de la course. Derri\u00e8re, Coldenhoff perd du temps derri\u00e8re Kullas. Le Hollandais finit par prendre la 2\u00e8me place mais ne peut plus esp\u00e9rer menacer Simpson. Mal parti, Strijbos revient quant \u00e0 lui de tr\u00e8s loin jusqu’en 3\u00e8me position tandis que Kullas et Fors compl\u00e8tent le top-5.<\/p>\n
