La France est sortie victorieuse ce dimanche du 72\u00e8me Motocross des Nations. Dans la boue de Red Bud, les deux hommes forts du jour ont pourtant \u00e9t\u00e9 les Hollandais Jeffrey Herlings et Glenn Coldenhoff. Ce dernier a remport\u00e9 les manches OPEN\/MX2 et OPEN\/MXGP. Dans cette 3\u00e8me et derni\u00e8re manche de la journ\u00e9e, il s’impose devant son compatriote Herlings, vainqueur de la premi\u00e8re manche de la journ\u00e9e devant Gautier Paulin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Les Hollandais avaient donc tout pour s’imposer sur la piste lourde et pi\u00e9geuse de Red Bud. Un seul r\u00e9sultat \u00ab\u00a0correct\u00a0\u00bb de la part de Calvin Vlaanderen leur aurait sans doute suffi pour hisser les Pays-Bas pour la premi\u00e8re fois de leur histoire sur la plus haute marche du podium. H\u00e9las, le MX des Nations se gagne \u00e0 trois. Et Vlaanderen, bless\u00e9 \u00e0 l’oeil dans la premi\u00e8re manche de la journ\u00e9e alors que, comme bon nombre d’autres pilotes, il roulait sans lunettes, a d\u00fb abandonner la premi\u00e8re manche et n’a pu se pr\u00e9senter au d\u00e9part de la seconde.<\/p>\n

La Hollande monte malgr\u00e9 tout sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium derri\u00e8re la surprenante Italie. Les Italiens ont en effet maintenu la France sous pression jusqu’au terme de la 3\u00e8me manche de la journ\u00e9e avec un Cairoli et un Lupino tr\u00e8s agressifs derri\u00e8re Gautier Paulin. Mais, comme \u00e0 son habitude, l’officiel Husqvarna a parfaitement tenu son rang au MX des Nations. Deuxi\u00e8me derri\u00e8re Herlings de la premi\u00e8re manche, il assurait une 3\u00e8me place dans la derni\u00e8re course du week-end. Combin\u00e9 avec les tr\u00e8s bons scores de Ferrandis en MX2 (7+8) et la 15\u00e8me place de Jordi Tixier dans la 3\u00e8me manche, ceci permettait \u00e0 la France de prolonger son brevet d’invincibilit\u00e9 au MX des Nations. Il s’agit du 5\u00e8me succ\u00e8s cons\u00e9cutif des Bleus sur l’\u00e9preuve la plus attendue de la saison !<\/p>\n

Les USA et la Belgique en manque de r\u00e9ussite<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Tout cela sur les terres de pilotes am\u00e9ricains bien incapables de jouer les premiers r\u00f4les. M\u00eame Tomac a d\u00fb se contenter d’une 4\u00e8me place en premi\u00e8re manche avant de rentrer 7\u00e8me seulement dans la 3\u00e8me. Les USA terminent \u00e0 domicile \u00e0 une sixi\u00e8me place sans doute loin de ce qu’ambitionnait leur manager Roger De Coster en parvenant \u00e0 aligner cette ann\u00e9e 3 des meilleurs pilotes du moment sur le championnat MX US…<\/p>\n

M\u00eame constat malheureusement pour les Belges. En manque de r\u00e9ussite \u00e0 Red Bud, Desalle, Van Horebeek et Geerts se contentent de la 7\u00e8me place finale de ce 72\u00e8me MX des Nations.<\/p>\n

Rendez-vous l’an prochain dans le sable d’Assen avant de revenir sur un trac\u00e9 plus \u00ab\u00a0conventionnel\u00a0\u00bb en 2020 avec l’organisation d’Ern\u00e9e, en France.<\/p>\n
