Tester celles qui font r\u00eaver des centaines de milliers de fans \u00e0 travers le monde est toujours un privil\u00e8ge. D&rsquo;autant plus lorsqu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit de tester les KTM Factory. Deux d&rsquo;entres elles sont championnes du monde, avec Herlings et Prado, les deux autres sont vice-championnes, avec Cairoli et Jonass. KTM r\u00e8gne plus que jamais sur le motocross mondial. Un casting d&rsquo;exception pour un test r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 une poign\u00e9e de privil\u00e9gi\u00e9s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Par Christophe Bertrand<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mais qu&rsquo;est-ce qui fait donc la diff\u00e9rence ? Pourquoi ces KTM officielles se sont-elles montr\u00e9es si dominatrices cette ann\u00e9e ? En quoi les machines de ces 4 pilotes d&rsquo;exception que sont Jeffrey Herlings, Tony Cairoli, Jorge Prado et Pauls Jonass diff\u00e8rent-elles d&rsquo;une machine de s\u00e9rie? La base est tr\u00e8s proche de la s\u00e9rie 2019 mais ce sont \u00e9videmment les multiples composants issus du service course autrichien qui en font les championnes qu&rsquo;elles sont devenues. Lors de notre essai, les motos reviennent du GP d\u2019Assen. Les r\u00e9glages sont donc ax\u00e9s pour une piste sablonneuse mais, fait rarissime, la piste de Valkenswaard sur laquelle nous nous appr\u00e9tons \u00e0 les essayer, offre une texture particuli\u00e8rement dure suite \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse. On ne s&rsquo;en plaindra pas !<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Une championne du monde explosive<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s en avoir pris plein la vue en admirant les belles sous toutes les coutures, les choses s\u00e9rieuses commencent. Le tirage au sort m\u2019attribue de suite la n\u00b084 et sa belle plaque rouge. La \u00ab\u00a0Katoch\u00a0\u00bb en jette et c\u2019est sans une certaine excitation que je prends place au guidon de la championne du monde MXGP en titre ! Rien d\u2019extravagant si ce n\u2019est un levier d\u2019embrayage positionn\u00e9 tr\u00e8s bas et un frein avant on ne peut plus r\u00e9actif, Jeffrey utilise d\u2019ailleurs une pompe Brembo de 10 en lieu et place de la pompe de 9.<\/p>\n<p>En poussant sur la fourche, on est fix\u00e9 de suite. Pour le confort, on repassera : c\u2019est frein\u00e9 d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de compression.<\/p>\n<p>Petite pression sur le bouton du d\u00e9marreur, \u00e7a tourne en force et avec fermet\u00e9. Pas de doute, ces pilotes \u00e9voluent sur une autre plan\u00e8te. N\u2019oublions pas que toutes ces motos d\u2019usine sont con\u00e7ues et adapt\u00e9es aux choix de leur pilote. Il suffit d\u2019analyser la vitesse de passage actuelle dans les encha\u00eenements de vagues pour comprendre que le pilotage moderne exige des r\u00e9glages de suspensions tr\u00e8s fermes pour survoler les obstacles et pardonner les r\u00e9ceptions \u00e0 plat.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00ab\u00a0Le niveau de pilotage actuel en MXGP exige des r\u00e9glages de suspensions fermes. Et un physique de guerrier.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Vous l\u2019aurez compris, cette moto est loin d\u2019\u00eatre reposante sur le plan ch\u00e2ssis et c\u00f4t\u00e9 moteur c\u2019est radical \u00e9galement : un moteur fort, tr\u00e8s fort. On n\u2019en saura pas davantage sinon que l\u2019ensemble des pi\u00e8ces est renforc\u00e9, upgrad\u00e9 par rapport \u00e0 la s\u00e9rie pour r\u00e9sister au traitement de choc impos\u00e9 par leurs pilotes. Une 450 SX-F taill\u00e9e pour un pilote exceptionnel et ce n\u2019est certainement pas ce type de moto qui vous transformera en champion. C\u2019est elle en effet qui vous dictera sa loi. Une belle opportunit\u00e9 en tout cas de prendre conscience du potentiel des 2 ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">#222 : taill\u00e9e sur mesure pour Tony<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En enfourchant la moto de \u00ab\u00a0Tony\u00a0\u00bb, je me sens un peu \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9troit avec mon m\u00e8tre 87. Ici, tout est r\u00e9gl\u00e9 pour un petit gabarit\u00a0: guidon, T de fourche, selle plus basse. Une cylindr\u00e9e beaucoup plus accessible avec des motos d\u2019usine nettement plus puissantes cependant que le mod\u00e8le de s\u00e9rie. Ca vire tout seul mais on b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019un coffre moteur qu\u2019on ne retrouve que sur les moteurs officiels. Au niveau des r\u00e9glages, cette 250 Factory fait dans le conventionnel. Rien de d\u00e9routant, except\u00e9 une p\u00e9dale de frein arri\u00e8re r\u00e9gl\u00e9e relativement haut et donc tr\u00e8s r\u00e9active. Par contre, le cintre du guidon et sa position centrale dans les T\u00e9s de fourche confortent une position neutre.<\/p>\n<p>Finalement, on pourrait juste lui reprocher un petit manque de couple dans les bas r\u00e9gimes, mais il faut avouer qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une plage rarement utilis\u00e9e par ces avions de chasse&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00ab\u00a0La machine de Jorge Prado est \u00e0 l&rsquo;image de son pilote : souple, \u00e9quilibr\u00e9e et surtout tr\u00e8s performante.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Redoutable d\u2019efficacit\u00e9, ce sont les mots qui me viennent en premier lorsque je r\u00e9fl\u00e9chis \u00e0 ce que j&rsquo;ai ressenti au guidon de la machine du champion du monde MX2 Jorge Prado. D\u2019apr\u00e8s les infos, le moulin serait le m\u00eame que celui de Jonass mais on a du mal \u00e0 le croire vu la souplesse d\u00e9gag\u00e9e dans les bas et mi-r\u00e9gimes de la n\u00b061. Y-a-t-il eu un travail diff\u00e9rent sur l\u2019allumage et l\u2019injection\u00a0? Peu importe, cette 250 Factory est fabuleuse de facilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Jorge utilise un guidon Renthal Fatbar tr\u00e8s cintr\u00e9 et plus bas ainsi que des leviers r\u00e9gl\u00e9s vers le bas. Interpellant avant de s\u2019engager sur la piste mais finalement tr\u00e8s vite assimil\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>On distingue une certaine inspiration \u00ab\u00a0made in Cairoli\u00a0\u00bb.
