Nous ne savons pas s\u2019il est du genre \u00e0 aimer passer du temps l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 sur la plage mais ce que nous savons en revanche c\u2019est qu\u2019il s\u2019y sent particuli\u00e8rement bien durant l\u2019hiver. Vainqueur du beach cross de Berck-sur-Mer avant de monter sur le podium de la Ronde des Sables \u00e0 Loon-Plage puis sur celui du fameux Red Bull Knock Out \u00e0 Scheveningen, Yentel Martens a d\u00e9but\u00e9 la saison de sable en force.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Je suis tr\u00e8s heureux de ma troisi\u00e8me place au Red Bull Knock Out m\u00eame si je reste \u00e9videmment frustr\u00e9 par cette d\u00e9cision de la direction de course de supprimer la section de troncs d\u2019arbres. J\u2019y suis pass\u00e9 au total \u00e0 6 reprises alors que certains de mes concurrents se sont content\u00e9s de un ou deux passages. Cela m\u2019a co\u00fbt\u00e9 beaucoup de temps et d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Quand j\u2019ai vu certains pilotes passer \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9, j\u2019ai pens\u00e9 qu\u2019ils risquaient la disqualification ou se verraient au minimum imposer une p\u00e9nalit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, analyse le pilote Husqvarna.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Pour les courses de sable, il faut bien se conna\u00eetre soi-m\u00eame\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Mais nous sommes ind\u00e9niablement sur la bonne voie. Nous devons continuer \u00e0 travailler pour progresser et je suis tr\u00e8s motiv\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e de bosser dur. Je me sens bien, la moto fonctionne bien, l\u2019\u00e9quipe fait de l\u2019excellent travail\u00a0\u00bb, poursuit un Yentel Martens r\u00e9solument optimiste.<\/p>\n

Il y a 10 jours, Yentel Martens est mont\u00e9 sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium du red Bull Knock Out.<\/p><\/div>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Pour les courses de sable, il s\u2019agit d\u2019\u00eatre au top de sa forme mais aussi de bien se conna\u00eetre soi-m\u00eame\u00a0\u00bb, poursuit-il. \u00ab\u00a0Il faut savoir quand boire, quand manger. Par exemple, au Red Bull Knock Out, il y a \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de temps d\u2019attente avant le d\u00e9part. Il faut savoir le g\u00e9rer, boire quand il le faut. J\u2019ai appris beaucoup l\u2019an pass\u00e9. Et je suis devenu plus m\u00e9fiant depuis que j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 disqualifi\u00e9 en France. Au Red Bull Knock Out, sans doute ai-je \u00e9t\u00e9 trop prudent. L\u2019an dernier, j\u2019\u00e9tais aussi beaucoup trop m\u00e9fient vis-\u00e0-vis des pilotes doubl\u00e9s. A pr\u00e9sent, je les d\u00e9passe le plus vite possible, en prenant sans doute un peu plus de risques mais rester moins longtemps derri\u00e8re eux signifie aussi moins de chance de les percuter. C\u2019est souvent lorsqu\u2019on h\u00e9site que cela se passe mal. L\u2019exp\u00e9rience paye et je suis mieux cette ann\u00e9e tant sur le plan physique que de la vitesse. Je suis le planning que je m\u2019\u00e9tais fix\u00e9, l\u2019Enduropale du Touquet restant \u00e9videmment mon objectif principal.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Cela signifie-t-il que, le 3 f\u00e9vrier 2019, Yentel Martens sera sur la plage du Touquet avec l\u2019intention d\u2019inscrire la plus prestigieuse des courses de sable \u00e0 son palmar\u00e8s\u00a0? \u00ab\u00a0Comme \u00e0 chaque fois que je prends le d\u00e9part d\u2019une course, je serai l\u00e0 pour gagner\u00a0\u00bb, confirme Martens. \u00ab\u00a0Mais sur une course comme le Touquet, il peut se passer tellement de choses qu\u2019il est difficile de partir avec un objectif pr\u00e9cis.
