La marque multiplie les coups d&rsquo;\u00e9clat, les podiums et les victoires. Et ses machines officielles, confi\u00e9es la saison pass\u00e9e \u00e0 Gautier Paulin, Max Anstie, Thomas Kjer Olsen et Thomas Convington, font forc\u00e9ment r\u00eaver. Nous avons donc touch\u00e9 le r\u00eave du bout des doigts en nous voyant offrir l&rsquo;occasion de tester ces machines parmi les plus convoit\u00e9es du paddock MXGP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Par Christophe Bertrand<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pour ce test hors du commun, c&rsquo;est forc\u00e9ment avec une certaine impatience que l&rsquo;on a pris l\u2019avion en direction de l\u2019Italie et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment du circuit de Faenza dans la r\u00e9gion de Bologne. En y regardant de plus pr\u00e8s, on remarque vite qu\u2019il y a bien plus que les pi\u00e8ces issues du catalogue maison et que, malgr\u00e9 le peu d\u2019informations divulgu\u00e9es par les 2 team managers, on est bien face \u00e0 des exemplaires revisit\u00e9s de fond en comble.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rgg-container\" data-rgg-id=\"1\">    <div class=\"rgg-imagegrid captions-title b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de la fourche WP Factory Cone valve de 52 mm et d\u2019un amorto WP TRAX Factory, de radiateurs surdimensionn\u00e9s, de freins Brembo, d&rsquo;un piston Pankl, d&rsquo;une bielle Pankl,&#8230; tandis que la culasse, le villebrequin, la transmission, les carters,&#8230; sont tous issus du service comp\u00e9tition. il n\u2019y a en fait que le cylindre qui provienne de la s\u00e9rie. Le tout est compl\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019une superbe ligne FMF Factory V5\/V4.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>GP21 : \u00ab\u00a0Hors normes\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>En observant \u00e9voluer Gautier Paulin avec son pilotage hyper technique et pr\u00e9cis, on pourrait croire que sa moto est \u00e0 l\u2019image du sudiste. D\u00e9trompez-vous, cette HVA 450 Factory est on ne peut plus \u00e9litiste. On est dans l\u2019exc\u00e8s \u00e0 tous les niveaux. Rien \u00e0 voir avec la FC 450 origine dont le mod\u00e8le Factory est le prototype. Cette moto restera comme faisant partie des motos les plus surprenantes essay\u00e9es jusqu\u2019ici.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00ab\u00a0C&rsquo;est tellement puissant que mon objectif est avant tout de verrouiller mes doigts autour des poign\u00e9es&#8230;\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Except\u00e9 un levier d\u2019embrayage r\u00e9gl\u00e9 tr\u00e8s bas, la prise en mains est confortable. Le cadre apparemment sur mesure et le triangle guidon, selle, repose-pieds me conviennent \u00e0 merveille vu la taille du gaillard (1.88m\u00a0\/80kg). J\u2019enclenche la 1\u00e8re (par habitude), la bo\u00eete est ferme et hyper pr\u00e9cise, 2\u00e8me, 3\u00e8me et c\u2019est l\u00e0 que \u00e7a se passe\u00a0!!! La n\u00b021 d\u00e9voile un couple de folie, on dirait limite un 600cm\u00b3 tellement le moteur tourne en force. Ce n\u2019est pas violent, non, c\u2019est tout simplement d\u00e9routant de puissance \u00e0 un point tel que mon objectif est avant tout de verrouiller mes doigts autour des poign\u00e9es sous peine de me faire d\u00e9border par la cavalerie.<\/p>\n<p>Rien \u00e0 voir avec ma longue exp\u00e9rience tout terrain, on est ici sur quelque chose de tr\u00e8s particulier, \u00e0 se demander si Paulin ne s\u2019est pas un peu \u00e9gar\u00e9 dans ses r\u00e9glages. Ils ne doivent en effet pas \u00eatre nombreux les pilotes \u00e0 pouvoir exploiter un tel \u00abtracteur\u00a0\u00bb de comp\u00e8t\u00a0\u00bb. Avec un brin de nostalgie, j\u2019aurais bien vu un b\u00fbcheron style Carlqvist ou le grand Dave Thorpe d\u00e9rouler du gaz \u00e0 son guidon.<\/p>\n<p>Lors du dernier MX des Nations, le bin\u00f4me a par contre ressorti la t\u00eate hors de l\u2019eau sur une piste boueuse et pi\u00e9geuse \u00e0 souhait, des conditions o\u00f9 le coffre ahurissant de la 450 Factory et le pilotage coul\u00e9 de Gautier en ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les artisans de la victoire fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.motocrossmag.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/HVA-Paulin-Faenza.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload alignnone size-medium wp-image-83110\" src=\"https:\/\/fr.motocrossmag.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/HVA-Paulin-Faenza-650x433.jpg\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/fr.motocrossmag.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/HVA-Paulin-Faenza-650x433.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" srcset=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%27650%27%20height%3D%27433%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%20650%20433%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%27650%27%20height%3D%27433%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/fr.motocrossmag.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/HVA-Paulin-Faenza-650x433.jpg 650w, https:\/\/fr.motocrossmag.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/HVA-Paulin-Faenza-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fr.motocrossmag.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/HVA-Paulin-Faenza-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/fr.motocrossmag.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/HVA-Paulin-Faenza.jpg 1350w\" data-sizes=\"auto\" data-orig-sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>En fin de s\u00e9ance, l\u2019appel du holeshot me dirige vers la ligne droite de d\u00e9part en l\u00e9g\u00e8re c\u00f4te. Premi\u00e8re tentative sur le 2\u00e8me rapport, difficile de garder la roue avant au sol, je ma\u00eetrise la b\u00eate gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019embrayage mais j\u2019avoue que ce ne sera pas la bonne solution pour virer en t\u00eate\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>Soyons fou, je tape le 3\u00e8me rapport et \u00e7a le fait : c\u2019est plus lin\u00e9aire, le moteur accepte le rapport suppl\u00e9mentaire mais encore une fois, on sort de la logique\u2026. Perso, j\u2019imagine que Paulin use forc\u00e9ment du syst\u00e8me \u00e9lectronique d\u2019aide au d\u00e9part car avec sa d\u00e9multiplication raccourcie de 14\/51 associ\u00e9e \u00e0 ce moteur d\u00e9lirant, il semble carr\u00e9ment impossible de plaquer la roue avant au sol.<\/p>\n<p>La GP21 n\u2019est pas sp\u00e9cialement joueuse, elle dicte sa loi mais le plus surprenant est le peu d\u2019inertie de ce moteur survitamin\u00e9, les freinages sont ma\u00eetrisables et jamais je n\u2019ai subi de calage moteur, m\u00eame en exag\u00e9rant sur le 4\u00e8me rapport dans certains virages serr\u00e9s, bluffant\u00a0!!!!<\/p>\n<p>Bref, vous aurez saisi qu\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019essai de la KTM Factory d\u2019Herlings qui me semblait d\u00e9j\u00e0 exigeante, avec cette HVA Paulin on passe encore dans une autre dimension\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">#99 Max ANSTIE : Retour \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame plastique, m\u00eame \u00e9quipement mais un ensemble nettement plus proche de la FC d\u2019origine en action. Cette moto est en fait une s\u00e9rie upgrad\u00e9e, la position est top malgr\u00e9 un guidon recul\u00e9 dans le T de fourche et plus cintr\u00e9 et \u00e0 nouveau des leviers orient\u00e9s vers le bas (une nouvelle mode\u00a0?). Le moteur est bien s\u00fbr moins impressionnant que celui de Paulin, il y en a d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien assez et c&rsquo;est au moins exploitable.<\/p>\n<p>Les suspensions sont \u00e9galement plus vivantes, c\u2019est ferme mais c\u2019est progressif et plut\u00f4t bien \u00e9quilibr\u00e9. Anstie utilise des rapports de14\/49, une d\u00e9multiplication qui permet l\u2019utilisation du 2\u00e8me rapport en virage mais \u00e9galement sur la grille de d\u00e9part alors qu\u2019elle tire plus court. Une moto moins exclusive si l\u2019on peut dire, mais malgr\u00e9 tout exceptionnelle au vu du matos \u00e9quipant la n\u00b099.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>HVA MX2<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>En passant chez le voisin, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la tonnelle du team de Jacky Martens, on retrouve les 2 Husqvarna respectivement 3\u00e8me (TKO) et 5\u00e8me (Th. Covington) du dernier championnat du monde MX2. Look similaire aux 2 grandes s\u0153urs, on est \u00e9galement en pr\u00e9sence de 2 motos r\u00e9gl\u00e9es tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9remment, d\u00e9j\u00e0 en fonction des gabarits de leurs pilotes respectifs. Sur le plan moteur, motus et bouche cousue mais les 2 moulins seraient les m\u00eames. A v\u00e9rifier\u2026<\/p>\n<p>La n\u00b019 de TKO se rapproche tr\u00e8s fort de la 450 de Paulin dans sa partie-cycle, le bonhomme flirte avec le m\u00e8tre 90 et j\u2019y trouve mon bonheur. En action, les suspensions sont fermes mais la 250 est moins p\u00e9nalisante physiquement. Bien suspendue, je suis en confiance, le moteur manque d\u2019\u00e9lasticit\u00e9, il demande \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 dans le bon r\u00e9gime afin d\u2019en tirer le maximum. Le Californien fait partie des petits gabarits et ses r\u00e9glages de guidon et de selle ne m\u2019aident pas\u00a0! En piste par contre, les suspensions plus souples assurent un meilleur grip sur la piste devenue plus s\u00e8che et aussi plus vicieuse.<\/p>\n<p>Le moteur est \u00e9galement plus coupleux, plus facile et donc moins exigeant, un peu dans le m\u00eame esprit que la KTM de Jorge Prado test\u00e9e r\u00e9cemment.
