Comme la plupart de ses concurrents sur le championnat du monde de motocross, Romain Febvre a fait ses devoirs cet hiver pour trouver une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la domination des pilotes Red Bull KTM. Le changement le plus important pour le champion MXGP 2015 est assur\u00e9ment la coop\u00e9ration avec Jacky Vimond qui officie d\u00e9sormais aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de l’officiel Yamaha.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Romain Febvre n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9pargn\u00e9 par les blessures au cours des trois derni\u00e8res saisons. Le Fran\u00e7ais a d\u00fb manquer le dernier GP de la saison 2018 et faire l’impasse sur le Motocross des Nations \u00e0 RedBud en octobre dernier mais il est depuis quelques semaines, apr\u00e8s une pause de pr\u00e8s de 3 mois, de retour au guidon de sa Yamaha 450 pour pr\u00e9parer ce qui sera sa 5\u00e8me saison d\u00e9j\u00e0 en MXGP. Il a embauch\u00e9 Jacky Vimond afin d’aiguiser son pilotage mais aussi de travailler son mental.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Je me concentre beaucoup plus sur moi-m\u00eame d\u00e9sormais maintenant\u00a0\u00bb, confie-t-il. \u00ab\u00a0Cela fait partie de l\u2019esprit du travail que je d\u00e9veloppe avec Jacky.Cette pr\u00e9paration fait \u00e9galement partie de la course. L\u2019an dernier, j’accordais peut-\u00eatre trop d’attention \u00e0 ce que faisaient les autres pilotes et je ne me soucie \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent plus vraiment de ce qu\u2019ils font. C’est une approche tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente pour moi. Nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu que cela fonctionnait lors des premi\u00e8res courses de pr\u00e9-saison. Ma vitesse \u00e9tait bien meilleure, je n’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 ralenti que par quelques erreurs. Il faut pr\u00e9ciser que cinq mois se sont \u00e9coul\u00e9s depuis ma derni\u00e8re course.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Jacky Vimond a un CV impressionnant en tant qu’entra\u00eeneur. Il a notamment travaill\u00e9 avec S\u00e9bastien Tortelli, David Vuillemin, Gautier Paulin, Josh Coppins et Dylan Ferrandis.
\nAutre nouveaut\u00e9 dans la pr\u00e9paration du num\u00e9ro 461: le poste d\u2019entra\u00eeneur qu\u2019il tient depuis cet hiver aupr\u00e8s de Ben Watson, \u00e9galement \u00e9l\u00e8ve de l\u2019ex-champion du monde Jacky Vimond. Un grand changement pour Febvre qui jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent s’entra\u00eenait seul.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0J’\u00e9tais d\u00e9j\u00e0 ami avec Ben mais maintenant, nous nous entra\u00eenons beaucoup ensemble et je pense que c\u2019est quelque chose que nous allons continuer tout au long de la saison. Evidemment, c’est plus facile vu qu’il roule dans une cat\u00e9gorie diff\u00e9rente. Nous nous poussons mutuellement sans qu’il y ait de v\u00e9ritable comp\u00e9tition entre nous.\u00a0\u00bb Febvre d\u00e9crit par ailleurs l’arriv\u00e9e de Jeremy Seewer dans l’\u00e9quipe officielle Yamaha comme un \u00ab\u00a0vent nouveau\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Avec Jacky Vimond \u00e0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s et la nouvelle approche qui est d\u00e9sormais la sienne, Romain Febvre esp\u00e8re retrouver le niveau, la forme et la confiance qui lui ont permis d’effectuer la perc\u00e9e spectaculaire de 2015. \u00ab\u00a0Je peux dire que j’ai beuacoup progress\u00e9 en pilotage, surtout par rapport \u00e0 l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Ensuite, j’ai travaill\u00e9 dur physiquement et mieux planifi\u00e9 mon entra\u00eenement \u00e0 moto. Maintenant, je m’entra\u00eene moins physiquement et je passe plus d’heures sur ma Yamaha. Je me sens vraiment bien. Chaque semaine, j’apprends quelque chose de nouveau sur la pr\u00e9paration de ma machine ou sur moi-m\u00eame. Dans l\u2019ensemble, c\u2019est le meilleur hiver que j’ai jamais eu l’occasion de passer. Je sens que je suis dans de bonnes dispositions pour aborder la saison MXGP.
