Victime d’une lourde chute alors qu’il occupait la 3\u00e8me place dans la seconde manche du premier rendez-vous de la saison MXGP le week-end dernier en Argentine, Romain Febvre devra \u00eatre op\u00e9r\u00e9 la semaine prochaine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leader du d\u00e9but de course avant de devoir laisser passer Cairoli et Gajser, Romain Febvre a perdu le contr\u00f4le de sa Yamaha 450 dans une section de vagues (voir la chute en vid\u00e9o<\/a>). Dans la chute, la cheville droite du pilote fran\u00e7ais a \u00e9t\u00e9 durement touch\u00e9e. Examin\u00e9 sur place imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s la course, Febvre a ensuite pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 consulter un second m\u00e9decin une fois de retour en Belgique.<\/p>\n

A l’h\u00f4pital universitaire d’Anvers, le Dr Geert Peersman, sp\u00e9cialiste en orthop\u00e9die, a diagnostiqu\u00e9 une double fracture de la cheville. La blessure n\u00e9cessite une intervention chirurgicale qui est pr\u00e9vue pour ce mardi 12 mars. La revalidation devrait quant \u00e0 elle prendre six semaines.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Je suis vraiment triste, non seulement pour moi-m\u00eame mais aussi pour toute mon \u00e9quipe et toutes les personnes impliqu\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb, commente Febvre. \u00ab\u00a0C’est comme \u00e7a, ces choses font partie de notre sport. Maintenant, je dois me concentrer sur l’op\u00e9ration de mardi prochain, puis commencer ma r\u00e9\u00e9ducation. Je vais essayer de revenir \u00e0 moto le plus t\u00f4t possible. En ce moment, ils disent environ six semaines et j’aurai donc perdu beaucoup de temps et certainement de condition physique sans entra\u00eenement. Quand je serai de retour, je verrai comment les choses se passent et ce sur quoi je me concentre. Avant cela, je ne peux pas en dire plus.
