Ce dimanche \u00e0 Kegums, le jeune Belge n&rsquo;a pas pris les meilleurs d\u00e9part sur la piste sablonneuse du GP de Lettonie, 9\u00e8me rendez-vous des championnats du monde de motocross. Mais il s&rsquo;est une fois de plus montr\u00e9 le plus rapide pour remonter \u00e0 chaque fois en deuxi\u00e8me position derri\u00e8re le champion du monde en titre et leader du provisoire MX2 Jorge Prado.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Avec cette deuxi\u00e8me place \u00e0 Kegums, Jago Geerts place sa Yamaha pour la 5\u00e8me fois cette saison sur le podium, son 3\u00e8me cons\u00e9cutif puisqu&rsquo;il y est mont\u00e9 en France, en Russie puis \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent en Lettonie. Deux fois 3\u00e8me, Thomas Kjer Olsen voit Jorge Prado lui prendre encore quelques points de plus au championnat o\u00f9 l&rsquo;Espagnol semble d\u00e9sormais filer vers un deuxi\u00e8me titre mondial cons\u00e9cutif. Il compte 30 points d&rsquo;avance malgr\u00e9 une absence en d\u00e9but de saison \u00e0 cause d&rsquo;une chute \u00e0 l&rsquo;entra\u00eenement.<\/p>\n<p>Brent Van Doninck signe une belle deuxi\u00e8me manche qu&rsquo;il termine en 11\u00e8me position tandis que Cyril Genot marque son premier point en mondial avec une 20\u00e8me place en deuxi\u00e8me manche. Rappelons que le Belge disputait son tout premier GP MX2 ce week-end au guidon de la Husqvarna du team A1M Racing de Tanel Leok.
