Le championnat du monde de motocross MXGP s’est cl\u00f4tur\u00e9 ce dimanche matin avec le GP de Shanghai. Jorge Prado a profit\u00e9 du 18\u00e8me round de la saison pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer en Chine son 17\u00e8me succ\u00e8s – soit un taux de r\u00e9ussite sur les GP auxquels il a particip\u00e9 \u00e9quivalent \u00e0 100% ! – et cl\u00f4turer ainsi de la plus belle des mani\u00e8res sa brillante carri\u00e8re en MX2. L’Espagnol sera dans deux semaines au guidon d’une 450 SX-F sur le Motocross des Nations \u00e0 Assen avant de se lancer \u00e0 l’assaut de la cat\u00e9gorie reine en 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n

S’il laisse Tom Vialle et Calvin Vlaanderen accompagner Prado sur le dernier podium de la saison, Jago Geerts signe un GP solide. Avec une 4\u00e8me et une 3\u00e8me places dans les manches, le pilote Yamaha Kemea conserve un avantage de 6 points sur Vialle au classement final du championnat du monde MX2. Geerts repart donc de Chine avec la m\u00e9daille de bronze autour du cou. Voil\u00e0 qui r\u00e9compense l’espoir belge et son \u00e9quipe d’une excellente saison 2019. On le retrouvera dans deux semaines \u00e0 Assen o\u00f9 Geerts d\u00e9fendra les couleurs belges aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Van Horebeek et de Strijbos.<\/p>\n

Deux autres Belges ont marqu\u00e9 des points cette saison en MX2 : Brent Van Doninck et Cyril Genot. Pour Brent Van Doninck, absent en Chine, la cat\u00e9gorie MX2 est d\u00e9finitivement derri\u00e8re lui puisque le pilote Honda Assomotor a atteint la limite d’\u00e2ge de 23 ans. C’est en MXGP qu’il devra trouver un guidon la saison prochaine.<\/p>\n
