Les Hollandais se sont impos\u00e9s ce dimanche sur le 73\u00e8me Motocross des Nations. Face \u00e0 leur public, Jeffrey Herlings, Glenn Coldenhoff et Calvin Vlaanderen ont survol\u00e9 le reste du monde pour brandir ce fameux Troph\u00e9e Chamberlain. A leurs c\u00f4t\u00e9s sur le podium, les Belges et les Britanniques. C’est la premi\u00e8re fois que la Hollande s’impose sur le championnat du monde par \u00e9quipes nationales.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ce Motocross des Nations semblait taill\u00e9 sur mesure pour eux. A domicile et sur une surface qu’ils ma\u00eetrisent mieux que quiconque, Herlings, Coldenhoff et Vlaanderen avait acquis au fil des semaines la faveur des pronostiques. Mais, sur un \u00e9v\u00e9nement comme les Nations, rien n’est jamais gagn\u00e9 d’avance. D’autant plus lorsque la m\u00e9t\u00e9o s’en m\u00eale. Depuis samedi soir, les averses de pluie se succ\u00e8dent sur la r\u00e9gion d’Assen et le sable lourd et humide du circuit trac\u00e9 pour l’occasion dans l’enceinte du TT Circuit regorge de pi\u00e8ges.<\/p>\n

Jeffrey Herlings compl\u00e8te son palmar\u00e8s avec une victoire au MX des Nations.<\/p><\/div>\n

Une piste qui a suscit\u00e9 quelques inqui\u00e9tudes au matin tant elle semblait se d\u00e9grader rapidement et qui n’a effectivement fait aucun cadeau aux t\u00e9nors du motocross mondial. Mais plus que la r\u00e9gularit\u00e9, les Hollandais ont avant tout jou\u00e9 la carte du panache face \u00e0 leurs supporters venus affronter la pluie pour assister \u00e0 un succ\u00e8s annonc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La m\u00e9t\u00e9o a rendu le sable d’Assen particuli\u00e8rement exigeant ce dimanche…<\/p><\/div>\n

Herlings a d’abord \u00e9chou\u00e9 sur les talons de Gajser tandis que Vlaanderen pla\u00e7ait sa Honda 250 \u00e0 la 10\u00e8me place. Glenn Coldenhoff a enfonc\u00e9 le clou dans la sseconde manche pendant que Vlaanderen assurait un nouveau top-10. Ce m\u00eame Coldenhoff a fini magistralement le travail en devan\u00e7ant Gajser dans l’ultime manche de la journ\u00e9e. Avec la 4\u00e8me place d’Herlings, le tour \u00e9tait jou\u00e9 pour les Hollandais.<\/p>\n

La Belgique retrouve le chemin du podium<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Une victoire \u00e9crasante au d\u00e9compte final puisque, apr\u00e8s suppression du plus mauvais des 6 r\u00e9sultats, les Hollandais terminent la journ\u00e9e avec 29 points d’avance sur… la Belgique ! Rares sont ceux qui les attendaient en pareille position cette ann\u00e9e les Belges. Et pourtant, apr\u00e8s avoir remport\u00e9 la pole hier, Strijbos, Van Horebeek et Geerts ont confirm\u00e9 en affichant une constance que leurs rivaux pour la m\u00e9daille d’argent n’ont pu revendiquer.<\/p>\n

Van Horebeek prend deux belles 6\u00e8mes places. Pour Geerts, la journ\u00e9e a mal commenc\u00e9 avec une panne m\u00e9canique en fin de premi\u00e8re manche alors qu’il occupait la 11\u00e8me place. Strijbos devait quant \u00e0 lui se battre pour effacer une chute en d\u00e9but de seconde manche. The Kid a sauv\u00e9 une 17\u00e8me place avant de prendre une tr\u00e8s belle 11\u00e8me position dans la manche MXGP\/Open en fin d’apr\u00e8s-midi. Geerts s’est quant \u00e0 lui montr\u00e9 le pilote MX2 le plus rapide dans la seconde manche face aux pilotes Open en pla\u00e7ant sa Yamaha 250 en 7\u00e8me position.<\/p>\n

La journ\u00e9e a mal d\u00e9but\u00e9 pour les Belges avec l’abandon de Jago Geerts en premi\u00e8re manche.<\/p><\/div>\n

La Belgique retrouve donc enfin le chemin du podium sur le Motocross des Nations ! Le pays n’y \u00e9tait plus mont\u00e9 depuis 2015 et le MX des Nations disput\u00e9 alors \u00e0 Ern\u00e9e. J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek avait alors offert la 3\u00e8me marche du podium \u00e0 la Belgique avec Ken De Dycker et Julien Lieber. La Belgique s’est impos\u00e9 \u00e0 15 reprises sur le Motocross des Nations.<\/p>\n

La France laisse par contre \u00e0 la Hollande un titre qu’elle d\u00e9tenait depuis 5 ann\u00e9es. Elle termine 5\u00e8me juste devant les USA.<\/p>\n

L’an prochain, le Motocross des Nations se disputera en France, sur la piste d’Ern\u00e9e.<\/p>\n
