Seul pilote belge au départ de l’épreuve finale des championnats d’Europe 65 et 85 disputée ce week-end en marge du GP de Lettonie à Kegums, Liam Everts y a porté fièrement nos couleurs jusqu’en 4ème position dans la première des deux manches, disputée ce samedi. Bien parti, notre jeune compatriote a mené une course régulière qui le verra échouer dans la roue du Hollandais Dave Kooiker, 3ème. Devant, ce sont des néerlandais également que l’on retrouve aux deux premières places puisque Karssemakers s’impose avec une dizaine de secondes d’avance sur son compatriote Smulders. Le Français Florent Miot est 6ème.
En 85cc, domination hollandais également puisque Rick Elzinga s’impose devant Ravio Dankers. Deux pilotes véritablement au-dessus du reste du peloton dans le sable letton.
Les deuxièmes manches demain… avec un podium à la clé pour Liam Everts ?
